Finnish Photographer’s Experiments with Multiple Exposures Result in Fantastical Portraits

Christoffer Relander is a quick study. Since picking up a camera in 2009, the Finnish graphic designer has made quite a name for himself—and a stroll through his website and blog shows that he has some serious photographic mojo happening. The images in his We Are Nature series were done employing double and triple exposures and thus redefine what is possible with a digital SLR camera. Relander states that the images that morph human form with natural elements (leaves, branches, the needles from a pine tree) were done “in-camera” using his Nikon D700 with only minor post-shoot adjustments made to contrast and tones in which images are “more or less dodged and burned.” Via Juxtapoz
