The Futuristic Cocoon House on Jeju Island, South Korea

The design of the curvy and futuristic Cocoon House was inspired by the cocoon of living organisms and the volcanic topography of Jeju Island, South Korea, where the house will be located. A cube-shaped structure sits on both sides of the central bubble, providing inhabitants with views of the ocean and Gotjawal forest.

Seoul-based firm Planning Korea have designed the Cocoon House, which is set to begin construction September 2012.
