Why is it that we never forget our smartphones, but so often keys are lost or left behind? With ShareKey, a new house key app under development, I suppose the answer to that question won’t matter anymore.
Rather than unlock the door with a key, the ShareKey app allows users to wave their phone in front of the door to unlock it. But wait, it gets better. The app also allows owners to electronically share keys with a houseguest, or anyone else that is scheduled to come in, for a limited amount of time. You could be out of the house and grant access to a repairman between the hours of 2 and 4 pm, for instance.
