Scribbled Line Portraits

Scribbled Line Portraits is a collection of images by Ayaka Ito that portray human figures in scribbled lines. The images were created using photos that were distorted and reconstructed in 3D with a Flash drawing tool programmed by Randy Church.

Akaya Ito is a Japanese graphic designer and illustrator who now lives in New York City. To create each illustration, Ito photographed the location both with and without the model in place so that the model could be isolated from the background. Then using the Flash drawing tool programmed by Church,  Ito was able to generate splines over the shape of the model that were then imported into Cinema 4D, a modelling, animation and rendering application.
