Photographer and scientist Dr. Gary Greenberg has created this series of microscopic sand photography by employing the use of a high-powered light microscope, which he invented.
To most, all sand looks the same–countless grains in a vast expanse of beach. Look closer–up to 300 times closer–and your view of sand will be forever changed. Greenberg has presented his photographs in a book entitled A Grain of Sand: Nature’s Secret Wonder.
