Graphic Stop Smoking Ad Shows Cancerous Tumour Growing on Cigarette [VIDEO]

“If you could see the damage, you’d stop” is the premise behind this anti-smoking advertising campaign made by the Department of Health in England.

cancerous tumour growing on cigarette advertising campaign

The ad shows a tumour growing on the cigarette as it is smoked, in an attempt to defeat smokers ignorance about the damage they are doing to their body.

The campaign explains that every 15 cigarettes you smoke causes a mutation in your body that can lead to cancerous tumours.

Smokers are encouraged to collect a free “Quit Kit” from their local participating pharmacy to help support their quit attempt.

Smoking is the biggest cause of premature death, and responsible for ending the lives of over 100,000 people in the UK each year.
