This magnificent alpine modular lodge was created by Italian design firm LEAPfactory. The LEAP (living ecological alpine pod) is a great support to those who enjoy mountaineering and trekking activities.
Basically, the module allows you to be transported by helicopter to the summit of your choice. With a much lower environmental impact than traditional mountain shelters, the pod is built entirely off-site and is easily installed on location at high altitude requiring a limited number of operations. The best part is, at the end of your visit the pod can be lifted away by helicopter without leaving any permanent mark on the natural environment.
Designed to resist the extreme mechanical or atmospheric stress of high altitudes, it is built using high-tech features for durability. Each pod is constructed using four separate modules, allowing the user to set up different sizes of bivouac according to varying requirements.
