Photographer and filmmaker Gordon Buchanan captured these incredible shots during the filming of a documentary entitled The Polar Bear Family and Me.
Buchanan secured himself into a protective pod so he could capture some never-before-seen images of bears in the wild. It wasn’t long before a hungry female polar bear approached the pod and spent 45 minutes attempting to find a weak spot in pod so she could feed her cubs.
