Omnidirectional Camera Snaps 360° Panoramic Photos in One Shot

This omnidirectional camera takes a 360° panoramic image in just one shot, and then conveniently sends the image to your smartphone or tablet.

The camera is currently under development by Ricoh and truly represents a step beyond SLRs and compact cameras. The idea behind the project was that if taking spherical panoramic photos was easy, the results might just be a lot of fun.

The omnidirectional 360° camera has two fish-eye lenses that both cover 180 degrees. When you snap a photo, the camera combines the two images and then automatically sends them via WI-Fi to your smartphone or tablet for easy viewing and sharing.
