A walk through Julien Palast’s website is proof enough that he is a force behind the camera, shooting ad campaigns for high-end clients such as Dior, le Coq Sportif, Microsoft, and Roger Vivier. But his latest personal project is called Skin Deep, a series of vibrant portraits in which the artist “shrink-wrapped” his subjects: men and women. Though the details of how he did this have not been revealed, one hopes, in looking at the images, that each model was skilled at holding his or her breath. No curve is left untouched, no detail forgotten. The material used to wrap the bodies is unforgiving, exposing every ripple, muscle, and curve, allowing us to see the beauty of the human body in explicit detail. Via DesignBoom.
