Graphic designer and letterpress artist Amanda Jones, currently settled in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has given her own spin to the modern love story. Instead of simply photographing good-looking couples in love, she has taken it a step further, incorporating fun graphic design elements into each photograph. Via simple graphics, each photograph contains a small piece of trivia about the couples featured in the “My Better Half” series. For Grand Rapids, MI, couple Bryan and Mae, the snippet on his photograph reveals he’s a minimalist; wife (and business partner) Mae “loves giving and receiving hand-written letters.” Jones, a regular contributor for Kinfolk magazine, earned a bachelor of fine arts from BYU in 2009 and is wildly active in the blogosphere. Her vast portfolio shows the breadth of her talent; her work is simple but elegant. Via iGnant.
