Minimalist Logos for Web Companies, Based on Vintage Japanese Cameras

thumbnails-2-antrepo

Turkish design firm Antrepo was inspired by the minimalist, line-based logos of vintage 35mm SLR Japanese camera brands when creating this collection of pared-down logos for web brands like YouTube, Google, and eBay. The logos served a practical purpose on cameras from the 19070s and 1980s–they were easier to apply to the metal camera bodies than a more complicated logo, cutting costs. For these famous web companies, printed to look like they’re etched into brushed metal, they just look cool. You can see the full collection on Flickr.
