Reimagined La Cañada Home Marries Aesthetics and Class

La Cañada, California, a suburb of greater Los Angeles, is known for its good schools, sense of community, and its concentration of high-end homes. The Meyerhofer Residence, one of Glendale-based Osborn 320’s recent renovation projects, fits in beautifully. Osborn is a full-service design agency, covering architecture, landscape, construction management, and graphic design services. Work on the Meyerhofer residence included a complete re-imagining of the structure—integrating steel, wood, stone, and ample glass—and the property on which it is seated. The design is sensitive not only to the mature natural environs but to the neighbors, as well; with its low profile, the home does not impede or interrupt the view for residences uphill from the Meyerhofers.
