Mary Iverson’s Shipping Container Paintings

I am loving these paintings by Mary Iverson that beautifully capture the power of shipping containers. The complex network of overlapping planes and construction lines are simultaneously dramatic and beautiful. The backdrop for much of Iverson’s work is the busy port of Seattle, where she currently lives.

Iverson received an MFA in painting from the University of Washington and a BFA in Design from Cornish College of the Arts. Check out her website to see more of her wonderful work. [Juxtapoz]
