Impressive Portraits Made Using A Single Thread

‘Constellation’ is a project by New York artist Kumi Yamashita in which she creates portraits using three simple materials: a wooden panel painted solid white, thousands of small galvanized nails, and a single, unbroken, common sewing thread. The piece of thread is wrapped around the nails, creating light and dark sections by using more or less thread in that area.
