There is a lot of buzz around the recent for sale listing of this Pasadena, California home. This is because it was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the world’s most prominent architects, back in 1924. Wright had been commissioned to build the Millard House by Alice Millard, a rare-book dealer.
In efforts to integrate the Millard House with the surrounding landscape, Wright designed the home to cling to the lot’s steep ravine and sit perfectly amongst the trees. The home’s concrete blocks were made with sand, gravel and minerals found right there on the property.
The Millard house (La Miniatura) is listed for sale with Crosby Doe Associates for $4,495,000.
