Controversial Cloud Towers Resemble 9/11 Attacks

The new twin towers designed by Dutch Architecture firm MVRDV have an eery resemblance to the 9/11 attacks on New York City’s World Trade Center Towers.

Named “The Cloud”, these towers should be completed in Seoul, South Korea by 2015. MVRDV denies any inspiration or connection to the World Trade Center Towers.

The Cloud Towers are 54 floors (260 meters) and 60 floors (300 meters) tall. They include 128,000 square meters of living space. Halfway up the towers is the 10 story “Cloud” that connects the two towers together. Within the Cloud space will be a wellness center, conference rooms, fitness studio, swimming pools, and various restaurants and cafes. The top floor of the Cloud features both public and private outdoor spaces, open-air patios, sun decks, and gardens.
