Take a look at this impressive tree hotel in the far north of Sweden, near the small village of Harads, close to the Arctic Circle. The structure, designed by Tham & Videgard Arkitekter, is made from lightweight aluminum and is wrapped in mirrored glass and hung around a tree trunk. The mirrors reflect the surroundings and the sky, which create a beautifully camouflaged refuge. The interior is made from plywood and features a 360 degree view of the surroundings.
And in case you’re worried about birds colliding with the reflective glass – this is prevented by a transparent ultraviolet color that is laminated into the glass panes, which, although invisible to humans, is clearly seen by birds.
