Andy Warhol Inspired Campbell Soup Pop Art

Andy Warhol ate Campbell’s soup for lunch every day for 20 years. He enjoyed it so much (his favourite was Tomato) that in 1962 he designed the famous work of art which features red and white labels and is often referred to as “32 Campbell’s Soup Cans” (see image below). The piece currently hangs in the Museum of Modern Art.

To celebrate the artwork’s 50th anniversary, Campbell soup plans to release a set of limited edition Andy Warhol inspired Tomato soup cans. The 1.2 million cans produced will be sold in Target for 75 cents each. [Via Bit Rebels, Wikipedia]
