A Precariously Perched House 100 Feet In The Air

“Fallen Star” is a house that sits 100 feet in the air on the University of California San Diego campus. The house sits on an eye-catching angle, extending out from the seventh floor roof of Jacobs Hall, also known as Engineering Building 1.

The custom built installation was designed by artist Do Ho Suh, who never thought the complex project would actually be realized. The house has even been fully furnished with seating, a Persian rug, fireplace, lighting and a television. A rooftop garden that leads to the entrance of the cottage was also added. via visualnews
